Picking the Br4 is easy but choosing the right caliber to add to your safe will be a challenge. If you’re leaning towards the tried and true 5.56mm you won’t do wrong with the 14.5 P&W Br4. Although the barrel is 14.5 the ZEROED SVD muzzle brake is pinned & welded to the muzzle bringing the barrel’s OAL to 16.1 which means no NFA tax stamp is needed as well as being in one of the best-looking rifles in its class.
Although just shy of being available to all 50 US states the Br4 gives people in 2A unfriendly states a modern choice in a go-to carbine. For those in New York Washington or Illinois state restrictions prohibit us from selling any Br4s there but don’t think we’ve forgotten about you and moved on. CMMG is still looking into how to make a Br4 just for you.
If youre looking to shoot suppressed or just fine tune your DISSENT to your preferred ammo the adjustable gas block gives you the freedom to dial in the gas system exactly to your liking. Never too much and never too little.
